Life in Israel is not easy, and we are here not by choice, but for some reason, God put us here….
We are a patchwork family of seven. Our kids are in between 20 and three years of age. We (Ben and Alex, the parents) are from Germany, and the kids were born in Israel. We live in a small village in the north in the country. We try to live self-sufficient as much as possible. We have chicken for eggs and meat. Sheep for meat. In our small garden, we grow veggies, like tomatoes, cucumber, spinate, salad greens, etc.
Life in Israel is not easy, and we are here not by choice, but for some reason, God put us here, and we are doing the best out of it. We dream with anticipation of what the future will hold and are excited over the prospects.
We love life, and no matter where we are, we do and will continue to celebrate it. Our table is always full of delicious food, good wine and a lot of laughter. Our doors are open for guests, friends and neighbours. Even though we differ in some way from the locals (like culture, lifestyle, choice of food, and attitude to life), we do try to fit in, make connections and be light in our neighbourhood.
